Stop Making Love to the Tooth: A Recap of My Q&A with Dr. NachosJanuary 22, 2024
Reflections on My Trip to India: Revisiting Roots and Building BridgesFebruary 23, 2024
It’s been over a year in the making, but it’s finally here. I can now proudly unveil my new-and-improved website! This has been an intense but well-worth-it website rebranding project.
If you haven’t already, I encourage you to take a look around. Not only is this new design sleeker and more user-friendly than the old site, but it’s also organized to meet the needs of my growing audience. Before I get into the details of that, though, I want to tell you a little bit about this journey and everything it took to get here.
From Dental Educator to Visionary Entrepreneur
This project is the culmination of a significant evolution in my brand and business. When I launched my first website in 2017, I was an endodontist on a mission to improve the world, one tooth at a time. I created E-School: Everyday Endo Made Easy with the goal of building dentists’ confidence in practicing endodontics, and at the time, I didn’t yet know what was in store for me and the community I was starting.
Fast forward 7 years and my business is now so much more than I could have ever imagined. E-School has become a multi-award-winning course with thousands of graduates and multiple iterations (including a one-of-a-kind, hands-on, live-patient experience called E-School LIVE), I’ve become an author and internationally recognized speaker, and my audience has grown to include patients and practice owners.
During this significant evolution, I realized that I had outgrown my old website. Although it had served me well for many years, the expansion of my vision and audience called for the creation of a new site that better reflected the state of my business and could help propel it forward.
Enter my website rebrand, Sonia 2.0!
A Deep Dive into the Website Rebranding Process
As exciting as it was to make the decision to update my website, I had absolutely no clue what I was in for.
The entire website rebranding journey turned out to be a long and winding road with numerous obstacles along the path—the biggest one being that the entire design concept needed to change mid-project.
As you can imagine, such a major shift caused several other pivots (including an additional photo shoot) that were further complicated by continued changes to my business throughout the process. Talk about growing pains!
All in all, though, I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve created. Sonia 2.0 reflects the endodontist, educator, entrepreneur, and healer I am today, and it expands the possibilities of what we can accomplish together. At the same time, it gives a nod to my roots and acknowledges what a journey it’s been to get here. I couldn’t be happier with how it has turned out—even if it took a year longer than expected to finish!
I’m also beyond grateful to my team for bringing my website rebranding vision to life. In particular, I don’t know what I would’ve done without my coach, designer, copywriter, developer, photographer, and stylist. It truly takes a village!
I really have the best team in the world, and I’d be lying if I said my success wasn’t supported by their incredible talent and above-and-beyond effort and commitment to my mission.
What’s Next and How It Impacts You
One of the most exciting parts about my website rebrand is that it paves the way for a series of exciting developments to my brand—developments that are going to make a huge difference for dentists and patients alike.
As you’ll notice, the website is now organized to serve three distinct audiences: dentists who want more clinical training, patients who want to become empowered in their care, and leaders—including practice owners and associates on the rise—who want to improve the practice’s production and create more balance in their lives. This is in anticipation of some new educational offerings targeting the different needs of my now multi-faceted audience. You’re going to be thrilled by what’s to come—like a course to help practice owners become more productive and reclaim their work-life balance!
In addition, the website will continue to provide free and accessible resources—I am an educator, after all!—which will expand in the coming year to include various talks, podcasts, and downloads that will help you become more empowered dentists and patients.
I hope you’re as excited as I am about this website rebrand and will continue to support me on my mission to give teeth a chance!
I welcome any questions or feedback you have about the site and what further resources and offerings you’d like to see as we charge into the future.
It’s only going to get better from here!
